Palestinian-American Adolescent Freed Following Nine-Month Period in Israeli Custody

A Palestinian-American teenager after completing 270 days in Israeli detention absent formal charges has been freed.
The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim was 15 when he was arrested in February in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, during a family visit while residing in Florida accused of stone-throwing toward Israeli settlers, allegations he repeatedly contested.
United States authorities expressed satisfaction with Mohammed's liberation.
Mohammed, now 16, was taken to hospital for treatment immediately after release, family members reported.
According to them, he appears visibly pale and thin, and is suffering from conditions acquired while detained.
Through an official statement, family spokesperson spoke of the family's "tremendous relief".
Family member Zeyad Kadur stated the family experienced "enduring a dreadful, continuous nightmare" throughout the past nine months.
"Currently, our priority is getting Mohammed urgent medical care necessary for his recovery after experiencing mistreatment by authorities and inhumane conditions throughout his detention."
American authorities announced ongoing to extend consular services to Mohammed's family.
{"The Trump Administration considers paramount to the protection and welfare of American nationals"," officials stated.
Twenty-seven US lawmakers endorsed a document to diplomatic officials and President Donald Trump, demanding more be done to release him.
Mr Ibrahim, a father-of-four operating an ice cream shop from Florida, had earlier stated his son only confessed regarding stone throwing after being assaulted by soldiers.
He had not seen nor direct contact since February, receiving updates exclusively what had happened to him via legal paperwork.
The teenager remained lacking indictment at Ofer detention facility in the West Bank.

During that period, the Israeli military said they were examining accounts of a Palestinian was deceased.
The two cousins had worked together in the family ice cream shop in Tampa, Florida.
No indictments occurred for the cousin's murder.
"We anticipate United States leadership to ensure our family's safety," family representatives emphasized.
