Trump's Granddaughter Receives Expert Advice from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of Professional Golf Debut
This young athlete has considerable social media following
The young golfer will have numerous high-profile backers when she makes her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is related to a former US president, received a tournament invitation to play at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
The former president, an avid golfer, possesses multiple international courses and frequently matches against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we have some close matches," she stated.
Kai explained that Trump, who won't be present, told her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa practically suggested to go out there and relax," she explained.
"From my perspective, he's simply an ordinary family member. He's not attending for the tournament. He's focused on presidential duties, making him somewhat preoccupied."
While still amateur, Kai has participated in only three events in 2024 and has the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
Yet she's able to get advice from Tiger Woods, who is dating her mother.
"He stands as the top athlete globally," Kai expressed.
"And he's a more impressive individual. He advised me to go out there, enjoy myself, following whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against several the biggest names in women's golf at the Annika, including world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
The LPGA commented that Kai's presence helps introduce golf to wider groups, particularly reaching the next generation.
The young star boasts millions of followers and just introduced her own clothing and lifestyle label.
She begins at 17:30 GMT.
